Typically, generated electricity is very stable and reliable. This 'pure power' is transported with high voltage cables to substations and distributed to provide factories, cities and homes with electricity. Unfortunately when it is transported, distributed and consumed, there are factors that will have an effect on this 'pure power'. Some of the more common of these effects or disruptions are caused by weather, heat, cold, lightning, human error or interventions and consumption exceeding production.
